Modish Salon is a color and hair extension specialty salon at Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch, serving Sarasota, Bradenton, and the surrounding Gulf Coast. We're not a full-service, do-everything salon — and that's the point. We chose two things, color and extensions, and built a team certified to do them at a level that earned us Best Salon in Sarasota for 2025 and 2026 and Invisible Bead Extension Salon of the Year in 2021.
Our Story
Modish was founded in 2019 with a simple idea: Build a salon designed around both the guest and the stylist. From the start, we focused on doing fewer things exceptionally well rather than offering everything to everyone.
That focus became our reputation. Over the years, Sarasota clients came to know Modish as the place to go specifically for hair extensions and dimensional color — the work that takes real specialization to get right. The awards followed, but the thing we're proudest of is simpler: clients who've trusted us with their hair for years, and who send us their friends.
What We Specialize In
We do two things, and we do them every day.
Hair Extensions: We're an extension-first salon, which means our stylists install and blend extensions daily — not occasionally. We offer Invisible Bead Extensions, K-Tips, and Micro Wefts, and we color every install in-house so it disappears into your natural hair. Modish was named Invisible Bead Extension Salon of the Year in 2021.
Hair Color: Dimensional blondes, lived-in brunettes, glosses, and corrective color. Our stylists understand color theory deeply enough to make extensions and natural hair read as one — the detail most people can't name but always notice.
What We Value
Education: Our team stays among the most certified in the extension and color methods we offer. Modish is an education salon — we host and attend stylist training — so the techniques we use on your hair are current, not whatever we learned years ago.
Specialization Over Sprawl: We believe the salon that does one thing brilliantly beats the salon that does twenty things adequately. Color and extensions are our craft, not a menu item.
